Volunteer
Patchwork Pantry is 100% volunteer run. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization! Without them and their dedication to serving members of their community, we would not be able to serve our neighbors as efficiently as we do.
Each week it takes about 30 people to operate Patchwork Pantry. Dedicated volunteers help order the food and keep track of inventory, set up the food for distribution, pack produce and grocery bags, interview the clients, enter information in the database, bring food to client's cars, and more!

Can I insert an image, video, or gif in my FAQ?Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Enter the app’s Settings 2. Click on the “Manage FAQs” button 3. Select the question you would like to add media to 4. When editing your answer click on the camera, video, or GIF icon 5. Add media from your library.

How do I add a new question & answer?To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Click “Manage FAQs” button 2. From your site’s dashboard you can add, edit and manage all your questions and answers 3. Each question and answer should be added to a category 4. Save and publish.

How do I edit or remove the “FAQ” title?You can edit the title from the Settings tab in the app. If you don’t want to display the title, simply disable the Title under “Info to Display”.

What is an FAQ section?An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.

What age are volunteers required to be?Volunteers 16 years and up can volunteer independently at Patchwork Pantry. Volunteers less than 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

What day can I volunteer?Patchwork Pantry is open for distribution on Wednesdays. Most volunteer opportunities take place on Wednesday evening between 5:30-8pm, depending on the role. There are times when we need Wednesday morning volunteers to help with set-up. There are also some volunteer opportunities on Thursday mornings to help pack bags for the backpack program.

How often can I volunteer?You can volunteer weekly with Patchwork Pantry if you would like to! We ask that volunteers make a monthly commitment for 3 months.

Can I volunteer one time?Patchwork Pantry asks that people volunteer once a month and make at least a 3 month commitment.

Does Patchwork Pantry take large groups of volunteers?No, Patchwork Pantry does not have volunteer opportunities for large groups of volunteers. In a typical evening, 4-5 volunteers from a single group would be the most people we could accommodate. If you are with a group interested in volunteering, you can contact patchworkpantry@gmail.com and see if there are any upcoming available opportunities for your group.
